Anda is a low-carbon professional passionate about delivering sustainable societal outcomes. As sustainability manager at Northern Powergrid, her focus is on enabling net zero emissions' targets to be met in the Yorkshire & North East, and delivering stakeholder and policy engagement on decarbonisation of transport, heat, and local energy. This includes the delivery of 26 commitments within Northern Powergrid’s Community Energy Engagement Strategy, which was launched in 2020, building on on-going engagement with community energy stakeholders.
Anda has worked on advancing the decarbonisation agenda across a range of sectors – prior to joining Northern Powergrid, she held roles in NGOs, worked as a government official, later going on to work in research and in consulting.
Anda holds a MSc in Environmental Management and Environmental Economics, MSc in Biology, and BSc in Environmental Science.
