Live and dead check analyser
Andy will be sharing a presentation on the live and dead check analyser innovation project at ENIC. The Live and Dead Check Analyser is a tool to help reduce the number of cable strikes caused by electric cables being laid pipes, by identifying what’s inside the pipe, whether that be water, gas, electric, or a redundant pipe. This innovative tool will make utility identification safer, whilst improving efficiency and reducing the need for interruption for our customers.
Andy started his career in the gas industry in 2014 working as a trainee heating engineer for a small company in Leeds. He joined NGN in 2015 as an emergency response engineer which is when he first got involved in innovation. He was involved in the Synthotech ServiCam project alongside their field engineers. In 2018 he became a TOTEX Site Manager specialising in emergency but developing into all other aspects of customer operations. Andy continues to support innovation in his role, to provide a more efficient and reliable network for NGN’s customers and engineers, for decades to come.
