Innovating on social sustainability, 14 October
Dr Privitera will be sharing details of UK Power Networks’ initiatives to make green energy accessible to all. You’ll hear the latest insights from Socially Green: a detailed research project that is assessing the needs of our current and future customers who may be disadvantaged or in vulnerable circumstances.
Giulia Privitera manages UK Power Networks’ social sustainability strategy and programme, responsible for a broad portfolio including the work we do with partner organisations to support and prioritise the communities we serve who are in vulnerable or disadvantaged circumstances, ensuring no one is left behind in the transition towards Net Zero.
Giulia joined UK Power Networks in 2014 to follow her passion for sustainability in the energy sector. Her work has focused on how we can put customers at the centre of the energy transition, whether they are early adopters of electric vehicles (EVs) and other low carbon technologies (LCTs) or customers at risk of fuel poverty. She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
