RIIO-2 innovation strategies and planning, 13 October
Emily will be joining a panel of innovation leaders on the Wednesday to discuss the innovation priorities for gas and electricity networks during the new regulatory period and what operators will need from the supply chain.
Emily Seto is the Senior Strategy Manager in Ofgem’s Strategy and Decarbonisation team. She has worked to develop Ofgem’s strategic vision as well as identified pathways to a 2050 net zero future with particular focus on innovation and energy system flexibility.
Since joining Ofgem in August 2016, Emily has held roles in Networks and European Markets. Recently, she has worked closely with RIIO Cross-Sector Policy to develop the Strategic Innovation Fund (a minimum £450 million, five-year fund) and to align innovation across Ofgem on a path toward net zero.
Prior to Ofgem, Emily spent over 15 years in climate change and energy markets for global corporates as well as start-ups in leadership roles including strategy, consulting and auditing, and project and programme management.
