Gabriel Griffin-Booth is a Senior Commercial Development Analyst at National Grid ESO. Within the Quantitative Analysis team he has been modernising and automating the Reserve Setting processes whilst working with The Smith Institute to prototype a Machine Learning/AI algorithm to set reserves daily, as well as a situational awareness tool for the control room that unlocks data held within the control room systems. He has been working with TNEI and the Universities of Edinburgh and Strathclyde to explore probabilistic forecasting and how this can be applied to decision making. As part of Reserve Reform he has been designing the new reserve commercial services, and comes from a background of settling the wider Ancillary Services suite.
