Neil has worked for National Grid for 12 years in the Gas Transmission Environmental Engineering department.

He is responsible for the maintenance of compliance to the 28 Environment permits for the Gas Transmission installation under EPR and PPC regulations, including the calculation and reporting of GHG emissions from those installations to the Environmental Regulators and OFGEM.

Neil is also accountable for the completion of the Formal Environmental Assessment process for all projects on the National Transmission System – the identification and

approval of Best Available Techniques implemented on the National Grid Gas Transmission installation, with the biggest focus on emissions to air from the gas turbine fleet and venting operations from Gas Transmission equipment and pipework.
