Robotic Roadwork Excavation Systems, 14 October
Ollie will be presenting an update on SGN’s NIC Robotic Roadwork Excavation Systems project, which has developed a system that automates the excavation process in both rural and urban environments by combining cutting edge robotics, advanced custom tooling and artificial intelligence. As RRES uses soft touch excavation technology, the project aims to open the market for expanding future inspection, maintenance and repair operations. Following successful trials, SGN will look at how the system performed and what this means for utility owners.
With over 20 years in the Gas industry, Oli has experience in a number of key business areas such as distribution network strategy, innovation and new technology. Ollie has worked across several business improvement initiatives from managing the NIC Robotic Roadworks and Excavation System project to projects which focus on records, asset risk, IT and planning.
Currently the Innovation Delivery Manager, Ollie aims to build a strong innovation portfolio that will help enable the industries energy transition while adding value to SGNs current operation.
