National Grid’s digitalisation programmes, 12 October
Rachel will be co-presenting National Grid’s digitalisation programmes on Day One of ENIC. These include: 5G – Art of the Possible; The i40 Connectivity Project; and Corrosion Modelling.
Rachel Hassall is a Principal Data Scientist at National Grid Gas Transmission where she uses statistics and machine learning to improve performance. She’s worked on a variety of projects, from improving gas demand forecasting to trying to better predict asset failures.
Before joining National Grid, Rachel studied Mathematics and Physics at St Andrews. She enjoyed anything that involved applied mathematics. Following graduation, she worked for DNV as a consultant specialising in asset management software solutions, where her work often took her abroad, from Australia to Brazil.
