Richard will be chairing the Operational Innovation session in the Gas track at ENIC on Thursday 14 October, which will be exploring the latest innovation projects that are set to improve operational performance of the gas networks, followed by a live Q&A with the project leaders.
Richard has 29 years’ experience in the Gas industry, beginning his career as an Apprentice Distribution Craftsman with British Gas in 1992. On completing his apprenticeship, he worked as a gas engineer in field operations until 1999, where he took up a project management role to support the implementation of a new work and asset management system for the company.
Richard has held a management role since 1999 working in Customer Operations for Northern Gas Networks (NGN) since 2005 across Yorkshire and the North East. In January 2015 he transferred into the NGN Innovation team and today he fulfils the role of Head of Innovation, responsible for managing the diverse portfolio of innovation projects as well as identifying and introducing business improvement solutions in line with NGNs businesses objectives.
