Ryan joined WPD in 2016 as an IET Power Academy Scholar while studying at Cardiff University. Upon graduating in 2019, with a MEng in Integrated Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, he was appointed as a Graduate Trainee Engineer within the Innovation Team before going on to secure a role as an Innovation Engineer in 2021. Ryan has a strong interest in Low Carbon Technologies and is keen to help WPD accommodate decarbonisation within its network and for all of its customers. Ryan has managed a number of NIA projects during his time at WPD including Temporary Event Charging, SHEDD and Wildlife Protection, and he also acts as technical lead on the EFFS and DC Share NIC projects.
