Steve has been in the Gas industry for over 30 years, starting his career as an apprentice Gas Service Engineer and progressing through the ranks. He has seen many changes and cultural shifts along the way.
In his current role he is always looking to the horizon for the benefit of his customers, stakeholders, employees, and the business. This has included introducing an Institute of Customer Service professional qualifications programme to the business and looking at new technologies including the introduction of online flip books with QR codes. This enables NGN to be at the forefront of allowing access to information both for customers and employees.
Steve has managed several innovative projects and continues to do so to date. He has won several awards recently with colleagues representing the business both at national and international levels. He continues to look to create the ultimate customer experience, whether this be online, in person, in writing or through the medium of AR and VR immersive experiences for everyone.
He currently engages with many businesses both in and out of the sector to help them on their forward customer journeys. His current role provides him the freedom to deliver success for everyone, viewing the current state through a 360º holistic lens for the problems and issues of his customers, colleagues, the business and wider society.
