NGGT’s industrial decarbonisation projects
Steve will be co-presenting a suite of NGGT’s industrial decarbonisation projects on 14 October at ENIC. These projects include Deblending Feasibility Phase and Hydrogen Fuel Gas for Compression.
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in National Grid Gas Transmission and joined its predecessor, British Gas, in January 1990, following an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
During this time, Steve has completed a number of roles before joining the Innovation Team early in 2019. These have included roles such as Drawing Office Manager, Senior Engineer – Asset Integrity, Senior Investment Delivery Engineer, acting as the project sponsor for a portfolio of major and minor projects and Scheme Team Leader for all valve assets on the gas transmission system in the UK and he is now seen as the Subject Matter Expert for Valves.
Steve’s current role focuses on using his knowledge of the gas transmission assets to support the development of new technologies for the Gas industry by building on a strong culture of stakeholder engagement across the organisation and collaboration with other industries to deliver the best value to the UK gas customer.
